US Senate Approves Jen Easterly as CISA Director

US Senate approves Jen Easterly as U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency director. Easterly’s nomination was delayed by Sen. Rick Scott, R-Florida, who threatened to hold up a number of nominees. CISA has been without a Senate-approved director since November 2020, when former President Donald Trump fired Christopher Krebs following the presidential election. The agency has been led by Brandon Wales in an acting capacity since that time, but Easterly was approved by the Senate on Monday.”]
