US Secures 100 Million More Doses of Pfizer Covid-19 Vaccine

Pfizer/BioNTech and Moderna have reached a deal with the U.S. government for an additional 100 million doses of covid-19 vaccine by July 31. The deal follows a similar extension of doses ordered by Moderna for their vaccine. Both vaccines require two doses to be administered and are thought to be 95% effective at preventing symptoms from the full course of doses. It’s unlikely that a significant number of Americans will receive a vaccine until after the second half of 2021 at best.”]
