US Charges Three Members of Elite Chinese Cyber-Espionage Unit

US authorities have filed official charges against three Chinese hackers part of one of China’s elite cyber-espionage unit APT3. Wu Yingzhuo, Dong Hao and Xia Lei are accused of hacking three companies between 2011 and 2017. Wu and Dong are founding members and shareholders of cyber-security firm Boyusec, while Xia Lei is just an employee. The DOJ charges focus on the theft of intellectual property and then passed the data to Chinese state-owned enterprises (SOEsEs)
