Update: Asustor – How to Eliminate Deadbolt From NAS Devices

Asustor has been targeted by ransomware strain Deadbolt. The company temporarily took down some of its services to prevent further spread of the ransomware. The New Zealand Computer Emergency Response Team has issued an advisory from the New Zealand CERTERT. The ransomware-affected “Asustor devices that are internet exposed and running ADM operating systems” include the following models: AS5104T, AS5204T,. AS55304, AS6404, AS7004T, and AS1104T models.
