UK government officials’ smartphones may have been infected with spyware built by Israel’s NSO Group, researchers say. UK Prime Minister’s Office at 10 Downing St. and FCO at Foreign and Commonwealth Office are suspected to be infected. The spyware is designed to infect smartphones that run iOS or Android systems and intercept all data captured by sensors. The company has previously denied that it has “no visibility” into the data gathered by users. NSO has been sued by Apple for allegedly targeting zero-day vulnerabilities in its products to infect users.”]
