UK Crime Agency Hit By DDoS Attack

UK’s Serious Organised Crime Agency was hit May 3 by a distributed denial-of-service attack. The site was taken offline at 10:30 p.m. local time. Soca recently took down 36 websites that were selling stolen credit and debit card data for more than 2.5 million accounts. The UK crime agency couldn’t confirm the source of the attack, but it took steps to limit the impact on clients “hosted by the [same] service provider,” a spokesperson said.”]
