Two SpyEye Malware Masterminds Sentenced

Two of the hacker masterminds behind the SpyEye malware have each received lengthy prison sentences after pleading guilty to related charges in U.S. federal court. Aleksandr Andreevich Panin, a.k.a. Gribodemon, was the chief developer behind SpyEye, authorities say. Hamza Bendelladj, 27, pleaded guilty to sending more than 1 million emails containing SpyEye and other malware to potential victims. He was sentenced April 20 to serve nine years and six months in prison, followed by three years of probation.”]
