PNC, Fifth Third Bank and PNC Financial Services report two new bank breaches. The first incident occurred with debit cards held by former customers of Cleveland, OH-based National City Bank. The second breach, at an unidentified third-party vendor, has caused the bank to replace affected debit cards for customers in Ohio and Michigan. PNC says current PNC customers were not affected, and the customers’ debit cards were compromised shortly before the acquisition of PNC in 2008. No Social Security numbers were accessed, and there was no risk of identity theft.”]
