Two Canadian Banks Probe Alleged Exposure of Customer Data

Bank of Montreal and Simplii Financial say they received reports on Sunday that client information had been compromised. Both banks say they’re investigating the alleged data exposure; neither has yet to confirm whether it believes the information was indeed accessed. Bank says it believes attackers were operating from outside Canada; neither bank has been able to debunk those claims. The banks are directly contacting all customers that they believe may be affected.”]
