Thousands of Twitter accounts were hacked via a compromise of the third-party analytics app Twitter Counter. Attackers used Twitter Counters permissions to post anti-Fascist tweets in Turkish that used hashtags such as #NaziNetherlands and “see you on #April16″ The tweets also linked to a pro-President Tayyip Erdoan video on YouTube. Security experts warn users to be more careful about using third party social media applications. Twitter says it removed the source of the hack immediately and no additional accounts were affected.”]
