Twitter Calls Second Hack ‘Serious’

Attackers gained access to Twitter’s support tools to gain control of 33 member accounts. President-elect Barack Obama, CNN’s Rick Sanchez, Britney Spears among those affected. Twitter co-founder Biz Stone says this attack is separate from a phishing attack earlier this week. Twitter plans to release a beta version of Oauth to its members this month — an open authentication protocol that lets members use third-party applications built on Twitter’s API to access their data and protect their account credentials.”]
