TweetDeck said it temporarily has taken down its services after cross-site scripting exploit code circulated today. The social networking site said it was temporarily taking down services to deal with the issue. Attackers could take over a user s account, post or delete tweets or deface the account. Attacker could be a ‘worm’ that self-replicates by creating malicious tweets. Twitter acquired Twitter in 2011 for upwards of $50 million for the social networking company’s real-time monitoring tool.
