TT government extends support to private sector

Asha Javeed published an article on October 6, 2020 titled Imbert seeks private sector support.

Asha captured the story of the finance minister Colm Imbert seeking partnership with the private sector to reset the economy for growth and innovation.

Key points from this article:

  • The manufacturing sector will become the digital catalyst for achieving economic transformation and diversification, consolidating in the process a focus on new and niche markets, especially for export.
  • The expansion of diversity in the economy
  • The adoption of the cargo-handling operation by the government. However, the regulatory and asset management function from Port Authority will remain. (Port of PoS)
