Trend Micro addressed 2 DLL hijacking flaws in Trend Micro Password Manager that could allow malicious actors to escalate privileges and much more. The flaw resides in the Trend Micro password manager Central Control Service that fails to check if a certain DLL (tmtap.dll) is installed on the system. The vulnerability could be exploited to execute arbitrary code with the permissions of the most privileged account on a Windows system. Trend Micro confirmed it is not aware of any actual attacks exploiting the above vulnerabilities.”]
