Tor’s Bug Bash Fund Raises $86K to Fix Critical Issues

The Tor Project has raised $86K for a Bug Bash Fund that will be used to pay developers to quickly fix critical bugs that pop up. Vulnerabilities, privacy issues that leak personal information about a Tor user are critical issues that the Tor Project considers critical. Tor Project will tag any bug tickets that utilize this money with the “BugSmashFund”” tag. The organization will also make periodic updates on the blog and newsletter about the progress of these bug tickets as they will tag their trac tickets with BugSmash Fund.”
