The biggest battle these days is against botnets: networks of infected computers which hackers can use for online crimes including sending out spam or launching a denialof service attack. Black-hat techniques employed to snare users into a botnet web have evolved to a level that makes them often undetectable by even the most sophisticated security products. The SpyEye Tracker, a new site that hopes to trace the activity of the budding SpyEye Trojan, went live this week and shows the emerging SpyEye botnet to be global in reach.
