Experts disclosed three flaws in the systemd, a software suite that provides fundamental building blocks for Linux operating systems. The flaws reside in the service of the systemd that collects and stores logging data. Security patches for the three vulnerabilities are included in distro repository since the coordinated disclosure. Some Linux distros such as some versions of Debian remain vulnerable, but the flaws cannot be exploited in SUSE Linux Enterprise 15, openSUSE Leap 15.0, and Fedora 28 and 29 because code is compiled with GCCs -fstack-clash-protection option.”]
