Tim Alex Jacobs hacked an old Polaroid camera to print images on cheap thermal paper instead of film. The thermal paper is the same kind used in cash registers to print out receipts. Jacobs also hacked a webcam for a couple of bucks, but splurged on a $46 thermal printer that was tiny enough to squeeze inside the cameras housing once the original guts were removed.
