The Week in Ransomware – November 23rd 2018 – STOP, Dharma, and More

Ransomware is increasingly becoming more targeted so make sure that your backups are verified, RDP is secure, you do not open attachments from those you don’t know, and keep installing those security updates. This week has mostly been releases of new variants of existing ransomware. The developer of the DelphiMorix! ransomware trolling ransomware researchers by utilizing their aliases as the extensions for encrypted files. The latest variant is currently being called Zorro, but has also been called Aurora in the past.
