The IMF wants Belize’s central bank to improve its cyber regulation

  • Taking place in Spring, Summer and Autumn; these meetings will cover a variety of different topics.
  • The Central Banking Awards recognise the outstanding performance and achievements of individuals and organisations within the central banking community.
  • Belize’s central bank must improve cyber regulation – IMF staff.
  • International Monetary Fund staff have advised the Central Bank of Belize to improve its cyber security regulation and establish a new IT supervision team.
  • An IMF staff report said the central bank’s supervisory expectations on cyber security needed to be “formalised into regulation to ensure enforceability”.
