European Commission to offer 851,000 in bounties for bugs uncovered in 15 products it uses. 14 bug bounty programs start in in January 2019, while another one is set to begin on March 1, 2019. From January 7, 2019, researchers can submit security flaws for Filezilla, Apache Kafka, Notepad++, PuTTY, and VLC Media Player. The rest of nine software products for which the EU set up a bug bounty are FLUX TL, KeePass, 7-zip, Digital Signature Services (DSS), Drupal, GCC C Library (glibc), PHP Symfony, Apache Tomcat, and WSO2.
