The US Secret Service has issued a non-public advisory to the hotel industry warning that criminals gangs might have been deliberately infecting the computers in their business centres. The attacks were not sophisticated, requiring little technical skill, and did not involve the exploit of vulnerabilities in browsers, operating systems or other software. If you are concerned about the possibility of a hotels Wi-Fi being insecure, use VPN software to encrypt your communications and prevent them from being sniffed.”]
