The latest scare campaign revolves around a “Big, Bad Virus” called “Android.Lockdroid.E” Symantec has found an Android ransomware variant. The malware can get around Android’s security systems and perform all sorts of “aggressive extortion” to take over your device. Google’s security measures implemented in Android 5.0 also directly prevent the app from doing anything dangerous. If you have a reputable Android phone in a country where Google operates, the malware won’t do any harm.”]
