Texas Retirement Agency Portal Breach Affects 1.25 Million

A coding error in a portal of the Employee Retirement System of Texas inadvertently allowed some users to view the information of others, potentially exposing information on nearly 1.25 million of its members. ERS says it has no reason to believe any information was used for fraudulent purposes. As of Oct. 24, the ERS incident was the second largest health data breach so far this year. The largest breach listed this year is a hacking/IT incident impacting 1.4 million individuals reported on July 30 by Iowa Health System.”]
