Teenager Sentenced for Card Skimming

Teenager in Washington state pleaded guilty to forgery, identity theft. Teenager used stolen card numbers to buy gift cards at Walmart and Toys R Us. He then allegedly made $13,000 worth of merchandise that he later sold on Craigslist and eBay for profit. Card-skimming expert Jerry Silva says the case highlights how easy it is for insiders to perpetrate card fraud. Silva: “Even if we protect ATMs and POS devices, insider fraud like this will take place due to the ease with which criminals can get their hands on the appropriate devices””]
