The WannaCry ransomware has infected about 216,000 endpoints in over 150 countries. Ransomware is packaged with a worm designed to target a server messaging block flaw in Windows. Russia, Ukraine, Taiwan, India, Brazil, Thailand, Romania, Philippines, Armenia and Pakistan are the top countries hardest hit by the outbreak. Investigators are still hunting “patient zero” to identify how the attacks were first launched and trace them back to a trace to a potentially traceable back to them.”]
