Target is accelerating plans to move to a full chip-and-pin system for its branded credit and debit cards. The company also plans to have terminals capable of accepting chip cards in all of its nearly 2,000 stores by September. Target also announced that it has hired a new CIO, Bob DeRodes, a veteran of companies such as NCR, First Data, CitiBank, USAA and Home Depot. The Target data breach last year involved the compromise of information belonging to 110 million people.
