Luminate Security specializes in software-defined perimeter technology and zero-trust access between users and cloud applications. Luminate has raised a total of $14 million in funding over two rounds. Symantec plans to leverage Luminate’s technology in its Integrated Cyber Defense platform. The goal, it seems, is to strike the delicate balance between cloud security and user experience. The acquisition was announced in March 2018, and the terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. It follows the purchase of mobile security vendor Skycure and browser isolation firm Fireglass.”]
