Stalkerware Volumes Remain Concerningly High, Despite Bans

Kaspersky report: 53,870 mobile users were affected by stalkerware in 2020. U.S. moved into third place on the list of countries most affected by the software. Stalkerware allows people to remotely spy on another person s life via their digital device. The number of users affected by this software has remained high, according to the report. With more than 8,100 users affected globally, Nidb is the most-used software strain, researchers say. The software allows users physical location to be tracked, calls and messages monitored, social-media activity snooped upon.
