Stage is Set for Vista Worm With SMB2 Flaw

A year ago today, Microsoft issued a security advisory about a zero-day vulnerability in Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008. The advisory was issued about the SMB2 vulnerability in the Windows Vista, 2008 operating systems. Chinese malware brokers were spotted selling a $37 tool kit that allowed anyone to exploit a newly-disclosed RPC-DCOM vulnerability.
