The cyberattack on St. Vincent and the grenadines official website has urged the government to increase the strength of their cybersecurity. The government seeks to ensure to take countermeasures and preventative measures to these cyberattacks.

- A message on the official government website indicating a hack by an Islamist rebel group, however, Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves asserted there was no compromise and assured that they are taking all practical means at their disposal to reduce vulnerability and to mitigate against these attacks if one should arise.
- As the government goes forward in extending its presence and service on its online platforms for customers, they are cautious about cyberattacks. Therefore, taking the initiative to have proactive measures that are multi-layered and involve cooperation among various personnel, collaboration with agencies and authorities at the national, international, and regional levels that would reduce the impacts of cybercrime would have on its security.
- With the recent attack on the sister OECS country, the government urges every business at the government, private sector, civil society, and individual level to be aware of the importance of cybersecurity. The government explained that even changing the passwords often and not sharing them, not responding to phishing emails will allow everyone to play their part in preventing and minimizing the risk of cyber threats.
