Sophos purchases Surfright to strengthen Endpoint Protection in their Products

Sophos has announced the purchase of Netherlands based security software company SurfRight for $31.8 million. HitmanPro has developed innovative and powerful technology that detects zero-day exploits, remediates advanced persistent threat (APT) vectors, does a great job removing malware, and protects your computer from file encrypting ransomware. This purchase allows Sophos to integrate this technology into their products in order to further strengthen their endpoint protection features. SurfRight’s existing employees will be retained and development will continue on all their products. When finished will make it available via their network of over 15,000 partners.
