Sony Pictures Entertainment has issued a breach notification letter to its current and former employees following a Nov. 24 “wiper” malware attack that led to massive amounts of internal data getting leaked online. The company has also been hit with a class action lawsuit by former employees for failing to protect their private information. Sony tells its employees in the letter that after the attack, it took prompt action to contain the data breach, engaged security consultants and contacted law enforcement. Sony Pictures has also updated the homepage of its website to notify its employees about the compromise of personal details.”]
