Some University of Michigan students have set up a server that makes malicious files undetected malware undetected by antivirus engines. Roel Schouwenberg is a senior anti-virus researcher in Kaspersky Lab. He says there seems to be a disconnect between the ethical standards of security experts and those of newcomers to the security industry. The new generation is likely to bring a more current set of ethics with it bringing a new generation of ethics, he says. But he says taking a more ethical approach will always be harder than taking a less ethical one.
