Talos has released a new rules and configurations package style, named lightSPD, for Snort 3. LightSPD contains multiple policy configurations, rather than just rule sets. The new package is only a “soft” release at this time, but Talos wanted to give users the opportunity to take a sneak peek at what is to come. Snort’s official release is also available for those who want to continue using this new package as well as other tools to make it easier to work with this package.”]
