Sodinokibi Ransomware Now Pushed by Exploit Kits and Malvertising

The Sodinokibi Ransomware has been spotted being distributed through malvertising that redirects to the RIG exploit kit. With the addition of exploit kits to the distribution arsenal, this ransomware is poised to be a big player in the ransomware space. The best defense is to make sure that you have all the latest Windows security updates installed as well as updates for Flash, Java, PDF Readers, and your browsers. Running outdated and vulnerable software will only open you up to the risks of being infected.
