Congress has threatened to suspend some of the government’s cybersecurity programs if it doesn’t get the money. Congress has passed a bill to fund the programs, but it has not yet been approved by the White House. The bill would force the government to pay back $1.2 billion to the National Institute of Homeland Security for Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Services. The agency says it will be forced to temporarily suspend some programs that provide information-sharing to protect the public from the threat of terrorism and cyberattacks.”]
