Siloscape Malware Reportedly Targeting Windows Containers

Malware dubbed Siloscape targets poorly protected or misconfigured Windows containers. Malware is capable of compromising a single container, escaping and then moving laterally, researchers say. The malware is not designed to deliver a specific type of attack but instead maintains persistence, which then allows the attacker to use the access as needed. The attacker might be able to steal critical information such as usernames and passwords, an organization’s confidential and internal files, researcher Daniel Prizmant says.”]
