‘Silence’ Trojan Mimics Carbanak to Spy, Steal from Banks

The “Silence Trojan” is being used to target financial institutions in Russia and Ukraine. Researchers say it’s similar to those used by the Carbanak group. The group uses a “monitoring and control” tool to monitor the victim’s activity. It’s not clear if the group is linked to the group, but it could be linked to other groups in the U.S., Ukraine and Russia.
