Senators Press Amazon for Answers on Rings Sloppy Security Practices

Five Democratic senators write to Amazon CEO asking for an explanation of Ring’s security practices. Ring, acquired by Amazon for $800 million, has been accused of lax security practices in the wake of its acquisition. The letter cites concerns that employees in the companys Ukrainian office could access customer video data whether they had any real need to or not. Amazon has responded to the letter with denials and assurances that the company’s crime-fighting mission is one unequivocally in the publics interest.”]
