Senate Wrestles with Cyber Threat Info Sharing Bill

The Senate continues to wrestle with the Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act of 2015. The bill aims to enhance cyber threat information sharing between the private sector and the government. Opponents say the bill would lead to the exposure of private information of American citizens to spy agencies and law enforcement. The Chamber of Commerce says the bill gives businesses legal certainty that they have legal protections when they share data. CISA supporters say it’s necessary to “strike balance to maintaining security” and “protect civil liberties” The bill is expected to be voted next week.”]
