Sears & Delta Airlines Are Latest Victims of Third-Party Security Breach

Sears Holding Corp. and Delta Airlines report third-party-related security breaches this week. Sears says credit card information belonging to 100,000 of its customers might have been improperly accessed as result of a data breach at [24]7.ai. The breach affects customers who made transactions online on Sears’ website between September 27, 2017, and October 12, 2017. The incidents are symptomatic of the heightening risks organizations face from third parties providing various business services, says Stephen Boyer, co-founder of BitSight.”]
