SCADA State of Denial

Utilities and other process-oriented companies that run supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems are starting to feel the heat of security vulnerabilities. Some security vendors are forging partnerships to beef up their offerings for the SCADA market. Security experts say SCADA security auditing is not as in-depth in the industry as it is for other industries. SCADA-based systems typically run without usernames and passwords, which leaves them ripe for attack, experts say. The North American Reliability Council has come up with the Critical Infrastructure Protection (IPC) standards.”]
