Satori Botnet Co-Creator Pleads Guilty

Kenneth Currin Schuchman, 21, pleaded guilty Tuesday to a single federal charge of aiding and abetting computer intrusions. He was indicted in August of 2018 on two counts of violating the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act. Prosecutors agreed to drop one other charge; sentencing date has not yet been set. The Satori botnet was used to wage several large-scale distributed denial-of-service attacks, prosecutors say.
