Safari Zero-Day Used in Malicious LinkedIn Campaign

Threat actors used a Safari zero-day flaw to send malicious links to government officials in Western Europe via LinkedIn. Researchers from Google and Google Project Zero published a blog post detailing how attackers exploited the vulnerabilities before they were addressed by their respective vendors. Researchers have identified 33 zero-days so far this year, which is more than 11 more than the number from 2021, according to the post. Researchers also linked three additional flaws they identified this year to a commercial surveillance vendor, Google TAG s Shane Huntley.
