Russian Found Guilty of Hacking LinkedIn, Dropbox

Russian national found guilty of hacking LinkedIn, Dropbox and Formspring sites. Yevgeniy Nikulin, 32, was extradited from Czech Republic in 2018 to face federal charges in the U.S. He faces up to 10 years in prison for each count of selling stolen usernames and passwords, installing malware on protected computers. Nikulin also faces a mandatory two-year sentence for identity theft. LinkedIn acknowledged that 117 million user credentials may have been stolen during the 2012 breach. In 2018, a Czech court ruled that Nikulin could be extradited to the United States.”]
