Russian a Suspect in German Parliament Hack: Report

An international arrest warrant has been issued for a 29-year-old Russian national accused of hacking Germany’s parliament in May 2015. Dmitriy Sergeyevich Badin is suspected of serving in an elite cyber espionage unit Unit 26165 – of the Russian Main Intelligence Directorate. Badin, along with six other alleged GRU members, was indicted in 2018 by the U.S. Justice Department on various charges related to interference in the U.-S. presidential election in 2016. Russian official denied Badin’s involvement in the incident, according to Sueddeutsche Zeitung.”]
