Romanian Woman Admits Involvement in Hacking Attack On Washington Police Computers

Eveline Cismaru pleads guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud and computer fraud. She was arrested in Romania and extradited to the U.S. in December. The attack happened at the beginning of January 2017, just days before the Presidential Inauguration and smack in the middle of preparations for the event. The Secret Service’s Washington Field Office got on the case and their investigation led to two suspects.
