Adobe is reportedly axing development of the Flash plugin for mobile devices. Adobe has tried hard in the past year to push Flash on mobiles. The drawbacks of mobile Flash far outweigh the benefits on phones and tablets. Flash sites on Android devices are “utterly hit or miss,” says PCWorld’s Ginny Mies. Adobe says it will now be working on HTML5 development, a technology competing with Flash, which doesn’t need additional plugins installed for your browser. iOS users have been living Flash-free for more than three years and this has never stopped the platform growing.”]
