Security firm finds flaws in Xiongmai IP camera and digital video recorders made by Chinese company. Security firm SEC Consult examined software that runs on IP cameras made by Hangzhou XionGMai Technology Co. Ltd. The company’s products were compromised by the Mirai malware two years ago. Attackers could view private video streams and use the vulnerable devices as a foothold to get inside a private network or corral the devices into a botnet.
